Dr. Marisha Stewart

New Owner

As of January 2024, Dr. Marisha Stewart became the new sole owner of Waldorf Music Academy in Waldorf, Maryland. Her late husband Mr. Stewart and Dr. Stewart opened their first brick and mortar music academy in 2021. Although, Mr. Stewart succumbed to colon cancer on January 3, 2024, his wife believed that his vision and legacy should continue. Mr. Stewart always believed that anyone can learn to play an instrument.

Although Dr. Stewart is not a musician, she has worked in education for 20 years as a School Counselor at a local high school in Prince George’s County Public School system. In addition she has her own women’s empowerment organization helping women recognize their purpose.

Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland; Dr. Marisha has lived in Maryland her whole life. She began her pursuit of knowledge in 1991 and after so many years, Dr. Stewart obtained 4 degrees connected with helping others.
